When you start breeding, you do not just want nice and cute pups, but above all healthy ones whitout any defects whatsoever. This means that the he-dog and bitches we are breeding with, should all have pedigrees. From thes pedigrees we can follow the bloodlines of parents, grandparents etc.
These bloodlines must not be too close to prevent inbreeding. Besides we should keep the positive qualities of the ancestors and avoid the less positive qualities.
And finally they must be tested for e.g. H.D., P.R.A. and Von Willebrand´s Disease and should display excellent social behaviour.
All our dogs have at least followed courses in G&G; some of them even more than those.
Entering them for shows both at home and abroad provides the certainty, considering the excellent results, that not just we like and love our dogs.
Through breeders we know and/or the internet, we look for suitable he-dogs.
Pedigrees are compared, medical examinations are checked and/or executed
and possible show results are considered.
When all that has been approved, we go to the he-dag to see for ourselves what his character and social behaviour is like.
Only then are we convinced that we have done everything to breed nice, cute
and healthy poodles.
